Being honest and helpful puts you in the league of real greatness.
I enjoyed the movie because the characters are similar to my own background. They are airport workers like I was for 36 years. The location is also familiar as my wife and I have frequented Pittsburgh airport over the years to visit with our son and his family. The one fault I had with the movie was an unnecessary use of faul language. Some would be ok but too much grates on the brain. The story of an honest helpful boy who was looked down upon by his parents, his brother and his ex girlfriend was a testament to being good. It can eventually bring great rewards, and Molly was certainly a great reward for his being honest and helpful. All of a sudden, because Molly was grateful for Kirk's help, his status was elevated greatly in the eyes of his parents, in that of his brother and ... Kirk (Jay Baruchel) is a nerdy TSA agent at the Pittsburgh Airport who broke up with his last girl friend Marnie (Lindsay Sloane). two years ago but is still trying to hang on to that relationship. While on the job he meets Molly McCleish (Alice Eve). Molly is a 10 in every sense of the word and when Molly asks Kirk out he not only does't believe it but questions why this is even happening to him. Eventually he does figure out that she is serious and the two begin their journey. This movie was not only entertaining but it was funny as well. There are a couple of places where I was actually laughing out loud. The acting is rough, but it was intended to be that way as the movie shows the "Normal" people who live their day to day lives. The movie also stars: Krysten Ritter as Patty, T. J. ... This is a really cute movie about very ordinary young guy, Jay Baruchel, who works as a TSA security guard at Pittsburg airport. He is very much a "nerd" and when he meets Molly (Alice Eve), he just can't believe his luck. She is a stand-up 10! All of his friends are telling him that he hasn't got a chance, and even his family are abusive to him. Molly sees him in a different light though, as a non-threatening guy, sort of as a "What you see is what you get kind of guy". He has a good personality, and she is strangely drawn to him, even though she realizes that normally she wouldn't be. The way the scrawny, nervous, and unconfident Baruchel interacts with the beautiful and engaging Eve is also very likable and they do a nice job of handling the ups and downs of forming an honest, ... It is comedically cute and the eye candy is tasteful...
and a touch closer to reality and not, the truth is in how we see ourselves and that is what others react to. Like why the ugly guy gets the girl and the handsome guy does not. Just a reminder... while love conquers all... if you are lovable as to what you project. That is enough, just get rid of the voice in your head that says you are not enough...
