About this product

Product Information

"You bitch, you killed me. You suck!" Being dead sucks. Make that being un dead sucks. Literally. Just ask Thomas C. Flood. Waking up after a fantastic night unlike anything he's ever experienced, he discovers that his girlfriend, Jody--the woman of his dreams--is a vampire. And surprise! Now he's one, too. For some couples, the whole biting-and-blood thing would have been a deal breaker. But Tommy and Jody are in love, and they vow to work through their issues. Like how much Jody should teach Tommy about his new superpowers (and how much he needs to learn on his own). Plus there's Tommy's cute new minion, sixteen-year-old goth girl Abby Normal. (Well, someone has to run errands during daylight hours!) Making the relationship work, however, is the least of Jody and Tommy's problems. Word has it that the vampire who nibbled on Jody wasn't supposed to be recruiting any new members into the club. Even worse, Tommy's erstwhile turkey-bowling pals are out to get him, at the urging of a blue-dyed Las Vegas call girl named (duh) Blue. And that really sucks.

    good quick read.

my first Christopher moore. I got it because of ad that said if you like tom robbins, you will like Christopher moore. well ok, I ended up liking mr. moore. but would not, by any stretch compare him to mr. robbins. enjoyed the pace, the characters and the romp, but there was nothing of tom robbins depth or his "zen".. good book for a quick story for when you are between the substantive reads. oh,yeah; and lots of fun too.

  • You Suck

Carl Hiaasen, who ought to know, holds writer Christopher Moore to be "a very sick man". Which seems to be the yardstick for writers of darkish fiction. Think Edgar Allen Poe - but Poe with humor, a side-splitting Raven, The Murders in the Rue Morgue as a three-act slapstick dramedy. Shakespeard on meth. That kind of thing. Chris Moore has written a number of very memorable, extremely readable dark, humorous stories; The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove and Practical Demonkeeping for fans of California´s Central Coast, A Dirty Job and Bloodsucking Fiends for insomniac San Franciscans, The Stupidest Angel and Lamb for lapsed Catholics. And with You Suck, he´s managed to fulfill a lifelong fantasy of mine, that being striking up conversations with total strangers. On a day long flight to ...

  • You Suck by Christopher Moore

I decided to buy this book because I love Chris' work. He has a great sense of humor and the absurd. With his favorite authors being John Steinbeck,Kurt Vonnegut and Carl Hiaasen, all of whom are my favorites, I had to read everything he writes. After meeting him at a book signing, I decided that I wanted to get all of his books signed the next time he is in town. Since he lives nearby and just finished his next book, that will be soon. If you enjoy any of the authors I have mentioned, you can not go wrong with Christopher's books. With all of the interest in vampires, because of the Twilight Trilogy,if you want a humorous, wacky story instead of the Twilight tripe, this trilogy is for you. Book one is Bloodsucking Fiends, the second is You Suck and the third is Bite Me, and they are all worth ...

  • YOU SUCK... by Chrisopher Moore

Excellent book by an excellent author. The most recent title put out by the ingeniously wacky author, Christopher Moore. You Suck, is a colorful sequil to an earlier book by Moore, titled Blood Sucking Fiends. The character development and description in these books are truly a blast to follow , as are the situations they are forced to deal with. As with all Moore's books, You Suck is not necessarily an easy read, but most definetely a very enjoyable one. I purchased this copy because i had read multiple other Moore titles, and have been collecting 1st editions. This copy in particular caught my eye because it was autographed by the auther on the title page. I would recomend this book to anyone who enjoys laughing out loud while they read! A++

  • You Suck

Christopher Moore just keeps getting better and better. All of his stories loosely tie together. You can catch a name her or an action there that contects to something that went on in another novel. You suck has just got to be about the best novel he has come up with yet. It is so darn funny and yet sad. You've just got to read it to understand. I would say that if you are a Christopher Moore fan at all, read Bloodsucking Fiends first and then this one because it gives you a good foundation but it isn't neccessary in order to understand this novel at all. I busted out laughing on more than one occassion I can tell you. This is a really great book! It is a gotta Read~Me!!
