This book gives a glimpse of spending a year in the the Maine woods with just the simple necessities. Cabin living, tending the land, fighting the elements and nature observations are all well recorded. This book will help you to "slow down and smell the roses." I bought this book because, I own a cabin on a lake in Maine.
