I purchased this on DVD when the Platinum edition came out several years ago. I was amazed that a movie that was over 60 years old (at the time) could look so good. WOW..the blu-ray version makes it look that much better. With the DisneyView feature it stretches it to fit your HD television and gives you the whole theater feel with the curtain on the sides, your really do not realize you are watching a movie from a 4:3 source. Well worth the money...make sure you look around at the versions, it could save you a few bucks. I bought the DVD-Blu-ray combo pack (the one in the DVD packaging) and got it for $12.00 new including the shipping! The blue case sometimes is several dollars more, so if you want the same exact content cheaper you may want to go that route. The movie is great in and amongst itself but the special features are so cool and worth the cost of the disk. The tour around Walt Disney's Hyperion Studios was full of cool features (including incorporating current Disney animators into old photographs and bringing them alive, original Merry Melodies shorts, cool stories from the Eight Old Men-who told stories about the people who taught them)...this was great. It had several lengthy features about Snow White as well as the studio. All in all it was worth it for me because my two kids love the cartoon, even though it is not made by a computer...but also it gives me something to watch after they have gone to bed.Read full review
