It's pretty simple to set up. BE AWARE the draining hose won't drain if unless it's kept at ground level. I have mine sitting on the counter beside my bathroom sink. You can sit it in the bathtub or on a small coffee table with the hose aiming to wherever you want it to drain. The first two days I had it draining in my toilet with the seat keeping it from moving around.. The water inlet hose is short and is too big to fit my bathroom sink faucet. You can order an adapter for it but I bought $2 silicone tape and wrapped it on the part that screws off to keep the hose attached to it. (I know nothing about plumbing or faucets, sorry I can't explain much more than that).. It washes 1-2 shirts, few pairs of underwear, maybe a few socks and 1 towel OR a pair of jeans. Don't overload it or the clothes won't twirl around in it, they'll just sit there as if they're soaking. The spin wash is great but it will leave your clothes still damp, including towels so you will have to hang them up to dry. This is great for college students or singles/couples who live in small towns with no place to wash clothes. Don't let your laundry pile up to the point where you have two or three heavy bags to carry to the laundromat. Buy this. But be warned, keep silicone tape in case the cheap plastic material hoses tear up. If you can attach a small garden hose to your sink, you can still fill it up with that or buckets of water. Whichever works for you.Read full review

Washing machine agitation patterns have gotten more sophisticated and efficient over the years, and gentler on clothes in the process. This machine looks modern with its lack of a paddle agitator, but it makes no attempt to float and separate clothes, it merely whirls everything around forcefully, stops to let it settle, then whirls it around in the opposite direction. That works, given sufficient time and water, but it's neither efficient nor gentle. There's a limit to how little water can clean clothes. In even the most efficient machines, clothes won't get cleaner than the water in which they're washed. (Which is why rinsing is as important as washing.) But this machine requires proportionally more water than a full-sized machine simply because it agitates so clumsily. That means, practically speaking, small loads of mostly small items in plenty of water work best, and since the intense whirly action limits the volume of water that will stay in the tub, in real life the load limit is considerably less than advertised. Incidentally, the gentle setting uses exactly the same blender action, just of shorter duration during each reversal. That tangles and flagellates the clothes slightly less, but not appreciably less than simply washing them fewer minutes. It's not useless, but leaving the timing alone and reducing the cyclonic speed by half would be more effective. Don't take this as scathing criticism. It's a reasonable machine for its intended purpose and I will use it. (Carefully, because the powerful motors and sturdy tubs are housed in incredibly flimsy plastic shrouding.) I'm only cautioning against thinking this is a miniature version of a modern washing machine. It's more like PTO attachments for KitchenAid® mixers: simple, powerful, space-saving, but fussier, more limited and only slightly less expensive than full-sized stand-alone corollaries. For me, the advantage is gravity draining, which means this can safely freeze (unlike any modern automatic washer). It's also light enough to carry outdoors, or in the dead of winter set on a rubber mat in the bathtub. In my opinion, it's not so much an alternative to a full-size washer as it is an alternative to hand washing.Read full review

HELLO EVERYONE I just received mine yesterday and for the most part like the previous person said water did get all over the floor. the hose should definitely be longer. YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE PATIENTS BUT WITH TRIAL AND ERROR IT WORKS GREAT! I first tried hooking DRAIN HOSE to a washing machine hose did not work. you will have to place the machine on top of a tote or something sturdy and get a ten gallon trash can so hose can drain inside. I was able to hook the inlet water hose to my kitchen sink because I had this connector with a small piece that you buy to hook connector to. it feels my tank good no leaks. now the spin part works great but it sounds like a fan when it first starts loud but calms down. I also got scared at first the basket inside was banging against the side THE MACHINE WAS WALKING and sound like the motor was going to blow. but after a few tries of taking half the load from the washer side I realized it do that when all the water is not out of the clothes (etc. too wet). IT DRIES CLOTHES GREAT! I did wash two sheets but have to spin one by itself. ONLY USE NOT EVEN A HALF CAP OF DETERGENT I learned it took me longer to get soap out. like the previous person the hose do concern me if it can be replaced. OVER ALL GREAT MACHINE. CLEANS CLOTHES GREAT. WOULD GIVE 5 STARS BUT I DON'T LIKE THE DRAIN HOSE PREFERED IT LONGER SO MACHINE COULD STAY ON THE FLOOR.Read full review

This is the biggest (as in capacity of load size) portable washer you can find. I believe another maker named Della makes this same style washer and capacity size for those interested in looking for other similar sized ones of different brands. The water hose that comes with it doesn't hook up to the sink nozzle well, but I plan on keeping mine in the bathroom next to the tub (on some type of platform to keep it leveled to where the hose hangs into the tub for easy draining) so I'm able to also use the shower hose from the bathtub to fill up the washer. Other than that, it washes and spins the loads fine; the spin dryer does a good job at ringing out the clothes so long as you do small loads. When I first used it I did about 5 medium sized loads and the washer held up fine. I did read in other reviews that it released an odor and mine did but it was very minor, no smoke at all which is most important...again this is a portable version of the heavier duties normal sized washers so I would advise to do small loads and simply monitor them as they are washing. Overall, great deal for only $100! Way better than all the other portable washers by Magic Chef, Panda, Haier, etc. that are $200+ and hold smaller loads of about 5lbs - 8lbs only.Read full review
