good quality - the best 3rd party barrel for Rem 870 out there.
Good aftermarket barrel. Fits well and the chrome lining is very uniform throughout the bore. Being threaded for chokes makes it a bit more versatile as well. Pedestal is not the same as the factory Remington - XS pedestal bead will not fit. With Remington's company restructuring its really hard to find OEM barrels right now. Carlson is your best choice for a high quality aftermarket barrel. Good aftermarket barrel. Fits well and the chrome lining is very uniform throughout the bore. I should've returned it.
The carrier did their absolute best to destroy the packaging. One end was open with the chamber end of the barrel exposed. It didn't appear to have been damaged. However fitment to my guns receiver was extremely tight, once installed I had to use a brass punch going through the ejection port to remove it. I ended up sanding the finish off of the part that mates to the receiver. It's still very tight, but I can now get it off and on by hand.The carrier did their absolute best to destroy the packaging.
