    2831 Bissell Slim Corded Vacuum I'm pleased.

    First let me say that I'm 71 and while I love the vacuum, I do find it a little top heavy but you most likely already know that. Regardless, it works very well, was surprised at how well it picked up. Was easy to empty, easy to change the attachments which work well also. I'm using it in a small area so have not had a problem with setting it down somewhere as it does not stand on it's own. I'm fairly sure you can all find a spot to rest it as your using it. The scented filter is nice but I feel that's just gimickey. All in all, I am happy with my purchase. Hoping it will give me years of good use.

    Powerful, compact, but a little cumbersome

    This is my 3d & definitely best apartment-size vac. Unlike the lighter-weight Black&Decker stick vac, it sucks up pet hair & deep-cleans my pile carpets!!! It's also stronger than my handheld Shark -- but I miss the hose attachment for getting into small spaces. I finally stretched the round-mouth Shark hose to fit over the semicircular Bissell nozzle to get the best of both. Biggest drawbacks: this is a very topheavy vac & has to be held or rested against something to stand up. So, fine for standard carpet cleaning, but challenging to reach under or between furniture (I lay it on its side & use my hose). Also it takes a couple tries to replace the canister after emptying (strongly advise doing this outdoors inside a paper bag!)

    Cumbersome To Use

    This vacuum is very top heavy and the pivoting head swivels very easily. Put these two things together and if you do not have strong upper body strength, it is a very uncomfortable vacuum to use. I am an older woman so this vacuum was not made for me. Also, it is impossible to stand it up so It has to go on a wall holder or lie on the floor. It was so cumbersome that I ordered another vacuum. I can't believe all the good reviews this vacuum has received. Can't rate the reliably or ease of emptying since I did not get that far.
