I bought this as a replacement for a pair of Howard Leight earmuffs that I had owned for at least 15 years. I used it while doing pretty much all of my outdoor chores such as mowing, fall lawn cleanup, snow blowing, etc. In other words, nearly all weather conditions. Heat, cold, dust, precipitation, about anything you could throw at it. Toughness and longevity was excellent. I used the radio exclusively and the FM tuner sensitivity is very good. Even fairly distant stations come in strong. I tried a different headset that had a Bluetooth feature that I thought might be useful, but the radio reception was horrible, so I returned it and bought another Howard Leight unit. If it performs and lasts as long as long as my first Howard Leight unit, it's a genuine bargain.
